Methodology

How we test.

PiqBio-run independent Certificate of Analysis testing launches Q2 2026. Four panels, one signed COA, zero self-reporting. Once testing begins, every lot ships with a published COA and monthly releases open to the public.

Identity, purity, sterility, endotoxin.

Beginning Q2 2026, every research peptide will be tested by an independent US lab against four orthogonal panels. Results publish openly in the COA Library — nothing about the program is self-reported.

  1. 01

    HPLC purity

Reversed-phase HPLC quantifies the main peptide peak against impurities. We require ≥ 99% main peak or the batch is rejected. Gradient method and column reported on the COA.

  2. 02

    Mass spectrometry

ESI-MS confirms the molecular mass of the synthesized peptide against the theoretical value from the sequence. Identity is verified independently of HPLC retention.

  3. 03

    Sterility (USP <71>)

USP <71> direct-inoculation sterility testing on each lot. Fluid thioglycollate and soybean-casein media, 14-day incubation. Result printed with the organism panel on the COA.

  4. 04

    Endotoxin (LAL)

Limulus amebocyte lysate assay quantifies bacterial endotoxin in EU/mg. Lot-specific ceiling published on every COA — typically < 5 EU/mg, often < 1 EU/mg.

Published monthly. Open to the public.

PiqBio-run independent Certificate of Analysis testing begins Q2 2026. Each month's lot releases will be published here, open to any researcher — no account, no paywall. The sample below shows the layout COAs will use once releases begin.

The data panel on the sample is an illustration, not a real lot. The first published COAs will replace it.

Three rules we won't bend.

  1. 01

    Testing leaves our hands

When the COA Library opens in Q2 2026, every analytical result will come from a third-party US laboratory. Self-reporting is not evidence; it's marketing with a pipette.

  2. 02

    Every lot, not a sample

Batch-to-batch variance is real. The program will test every lot that ships — not a representative sample from last quarter. The lot on your vial will match the lot on the COA.

  3. 03

    The evidence arrives in public

COAs will publish openly in our library the month the lot ships. If the paperwork doesn't hold up, the shipment shouldn't either. No hidden lots, no conditional release.

From test bench to your lab bench.

Analytical integrity is only useful if it survives transit. Our shipping protocol is designed to preserve the molecule, not just the box.

  1. 01

    Lyophilization & storage

Peptides are lyophilized for stability and held at −20°C until packing. Lot-specific reconstitution and storage notes are provided on request.

  2. 02

    24-hour dispatch · 2-day USA

Orders ship within 24 hours via 2-day ground carrier. Lyophilized peptides remain stable at ambient for typical transit. Insulated cold-chain packaging is available on request for climate-sensitive destinations or specific compounds.

  3. 03

    Sealed & documented

Tamper-evident seals on every vial. Supplier specifications are on file now; signed COAs will be lot-matched in our public library once the Q2 2026 program opens. If the seal is broken on arrival, photograph it and we replace — no questions.
